Bella & Us started with one very special dog.

I got Bella when I was 19, living at home with my mum in a tiny rural town called Allora (population under 1000). Mum went away for the weekend… and came home to a surprise she wasn’t exactly thrilled about. That lasted about 10 minutes - then Bella had her (and the rest of the family) completely obsessed.

Two years later, I lost my mum to breast cancer. From that moment on, Bella became my everything. We moved to Brisbane together and went through it all - house moves, heartbreaks, life changes - she was my constant.

Bella also faced more than her fair share of health challenges. She survived a dog attack that required stitches, complications from a grooming incident that led to surgery under general anaesthetic, a full hip replacement, and in 2021, a life-threatening Addison’s diagnosis after collapsing. She spent 9 nights in ICU, had her spleen removed, a feeding tube fitted, and a blood transfusion - before finally coming home to recover.

That experience changed everything. I started preparing her meals myself and paying close attention to ingredients - because so many products out there just didn’t cut it.

In August 2025, Bella & Us was born.

A brand built to make it easier for other dog owners to access simple, high-quality, Australian-made treats - made with ingredients you actually recognise.

In April 2026, Bella passed away after a sudden seizure, believed to be caused by a brain tumour. She gave me 16 incredible years and will always be my best friend.

This brand started with her — and continues in her honour.
